Federalist Society, The

With a membership of some of the most powerful
lawyers and judges in the United States, this influential
ultraconservative organization has over 25,000
lawyer members, and student chapters at many law
schools. The Society strives to set the agenda for
conservative discussion about the law. Its Criminal
Justice Practice Group focuses on topics such as
criminal procedure, juvenile justice, and sentencing.
Defending Justice is a publication of Political Research Associates (PRA), an independent nonprofit research center that exposes the Right and larger oppressive movements and institutions.
